As a leader in the child abuse investigation and response field, the National Children’s Advocacy Center (NCAC) frequently addresses emerging issues faced by child abuse response professionals around the world. Supported by research and current best practice, the NCAC provides written position statements on specific topics under debate and discussion within the field.
NCAC is proud to partner with subject matter experts on Poly-victimization to deliver cutting-edge research to CACs, MDTs, first responders, and other professionals serving child victims.
NCAC is proud to support the National Law Enforcement Center on Animal Abuse. Research shows there is a strong correlation between animal abuse and family violence, including child abuse. Educating law enforcement officers about the need to investigate family violence as a household pattern, possibly affecting children and pets, can serve to protect these defenseless victims of abuse.
