Groundhog Job Shadow Days
Hosted by: Junior Achievement of North Alabama
More info: 533-4661 or jaofnal@bellsouth.net

This program gives teens an opportunity to see different career fields in action. A record number of kids are interested this year and they need the community's help in finding enough positions. Perhaps you can host a few students in your office? Who knows, maybe a future non-profit director is hiding among Huntsville's youth!

Contact Cyndy or Nancy at Junior Achievement at 533-4661 or jaofnal@bellsouth.net to learn more.

Nonprofit Summit -- Birmingham
Location: The Cahaba Grand Conference Center (formerly HealthSouth Conference Center) Birmingham, AL
Hosted by: The Nonprofit Resource Center of Alabama (NRCA)
More info: (888) 466-4777 toll free

The Nonprofit Resource Center of Alabama (NRCA) developed the Nonprofit Summit several years ago as a theme-based educational forum at which members would convene to share experiences and hear timely discussions about critical issues facing the nonprofit sector. The Summit has now evolved into an annual event that attracts hundreds of nonprofit executives, professionals and volunteers from around the state of Alabama.

In 2006, the Summit theme will be "Raising our Standards, Raising our Voices," a message about how nonprofits must strive to become more accountable custodians of the public's trust and charitable investment, and more proactively share their informed perspectives with policy makers, the media, and the community at large.

Times: 1:00pm to 6:15pm (Feb. 15) and 7:00am to 4:30pm (Feb. 16)
