It's a great opportunity for networking and information-sharing. A different agency or program is featured each month. There is no charge to attend and reservations are not necessary. Education Call on Methamphetamine Time: 2:00pm - 4:00pm CST Location: National Children's Advocacy Center, 210 Pratt Avenue More info: 327-3753 This panel discussion focusing on how Children's Advocacy Centers can handle cases involving children exposed to methamphetamine may also provide insight to professionals from other agencies including foster care providers, law enforcement, substance abuse prevention and intervention, mental health services, etc. The discussion will outline the types of care provided at a children’s advocacy center to children and their families who have been exposed to methamphetamine. Protocols for diagnosis and treatment will be discussed as well as how to set up a program to address this issue. Panel members include: Chaney Yeast, Jane Dubbe and Lynn Ayers. Chaney Yeast is the Manager for the Regional Chlid Protection Center in Des Moines, IA. Jane Dubbe is the Coordinator at First STEP in Missoula, MT and Lynn Ayers is the Director of the Lincoln/Lancaster Children’s Advocacy Center in Lincoln, NE. This is open to the community.
