About Us
Established in 1985 The National Children’s Advocacy Center (NCAC) was the first Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) in the world. The NCAC created the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) approach to child abuse investigations.
The NCAC serves children in Madison County, Alabama providing investigative services and therapy at no cost to the caregiver. The NCAC provides training and consultation to CACs globally and the Barnahus network in Europe.
The NCAC subject matter experts are available to speak to media on the following topics:
- Child sexual abuse
- Physical child abuse
- Child neglect
- Child abuse prevention
- Digital safety for children and teenagers
- Sextortion involving children and teenagers
