Child Abuse Professionals
As the world’s first Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), the NCAC has led the way in supporting individuals and communities in adopting the CAC model since the mid 1980s.
What began as an innovative response to family abuse has evolved into the global benchmark for addressing child abuse. For over 40 years, the National Children’s Advocacy Center (NCAC) has continually refined its approach, drawing on cutting-edge research and invaluable feedback from children and families. This has helped shape an international movement dedicated to protecting children and supporting their recovery.
Today, the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) model is in place in all 50 U.S. states and 41 countries, with more than 1,100 centers worldwide. The NCAC has played a pivotal role in this global expansion, serving as a leading provider of training, resources, and technical assistance both nationally and internationally.
In addition to spearheading research initiatives to enhance the CAC model, the NCAC is internationally recognized for its leadership in training and developing forensic interviewers—an essential service in every CAC. With its unwavering commitment to excellence, the NCAC continues to set the standard for child protection and advocacy.
