Amanda Wayne, an Assistant District Attorney in the Family Violence Unit advocates for society’s most vulnerable members, making her the perfect superhero to represent the multidisciplinary team at the National Children’s Advocacy Center. Amanda says the most rewarding part of her career is helping victims close horrendous chapters in their lives by finding justice and closure. Her work provides the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those needing it most, a rewarding and humbling journey.
Before getting accepted into law school at Baylor University, she completed her undergraduate degree at Auburn University in Mass Communications and decided to pursue a career in news production. After working as a news producer for four years, she decided she wanted to do more to give back to her community and made plans to go to law school.
Amanda says this intense career has made her more empathetic and it has opened her mind. She also feels grateful for her upbringing, realizing that only some are fortunate enough to have a head start.
Looking ahead, Amanda says she will continue to pursue the cause of the local victims, especially children and families. She is devoted bringing justice to those most in need and hoping her legacy will be felt in the community of Madison County. Amanda Wayne’s dedication to her position as an ADA epitomizes the very makings of a community superhero—someone using their skills and passion for the betterment of others. Redstone Federal Credit Union and the National Children’s Advocacy Center are proud to share Amanda’s story and heroic work in our community!
